Comic Patrol
If you dig comic books and conversation between two would be friends, this is the podcast for you. We are wickedly good-looking, incredibly knowledgeable and mildly literate detectives who spent countless years rising the ranks over comic book creations we shared across the pages. We kept the spotlight on what we loved/hated the most on all of comic book culture, and anything that made us graphical fans from the beginning. Buckle in and join co-hosts Coke and Dank in this weekly podcast to get your ears perked with our brand of geek culture... This is our patrol, This is Comic Patrol. Warning: Hosts may experience brief moments of cheer as tangents of random discourse of rage often to distract and amuse all parties. #numeatz #sawftcheeze

Venom [Bottle Cap Review]
Thursday Jun 17, 2021
Thursday Jun 17, 2021
The Venom: Let There Be Carnage trailer dropped not too long ago, which reminded us... We still hadn't given the first movie it's own Bottle Cap treatment. So, here we are! The Bottle Cap Review of 2018's (somehow) massively profitable Venom movie, where we follow Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock as he struggles with an alien parasite that attaches itself to him to fight an evil corporation. The second half of this episode will be a discussion on Venom: Let There Be Carnage and things to come in the future of this franchise, and the Sony-verse as a whole.

Leprechaun [Arc Analysis #17]
Monday Jun 07, 2021
Monday Jun 07, 2021
Yes, it's THAT Leprechaun. The Lionsgate one with the terrible acting and all of it's 6 (!!!) sequels.
On this edition or Arc Analysis, where we dive into what makes a comic book story a boom (good) or a bah (bad), we get this absolute classic, but good god, is it not a lucky read.

The Kill Lock [Arc Analysis #16]
Friday May 14, 2021
Friday May 14, 2021
What do you get when you take 4 robots of vastly different classes, stick a mark on each of them and expect them to co-exist together or they all die as a group?
A very unique, twisted and hilarious book in the most pleasantly unexpected way. That's a lot of words in one sentence, but listen in and trust us on this one.
Read. This. Book.

#51 - America'd in Full
Thursday Apr 29, 2021
Thursday Apr 29, 2021
Coming off the heels of the magical WandaVision, we get the more grounded The Falcon & The Winter Soldier, and here are our thoughts on this playful, but very politically charged Disney/Marvel show. It's hard to compete with the first series that came out, because it was such a wild ride. This one is a ride as well, but not nearly as wild and not quite as fun either. Who will be the next Captain America is the burning question, and with John Walker in the mix, there is now a third option for who deserves to rock the shield.Lets dive in, kids.

I Kill Giants [Bottle Cap Review]
Thursday Apr 22, 2021
Thursday Apr 22, 2021
Based on the graphic novel of the same name, I Kill Giants is a movie all about killing giants, and how a sassy grade school student would go about doing while still having to deal with real world issues like bullying, peer pressure and family drama. Having not read the book before watching this flick, we definitely had some thoughts on how it all goes down.
(P.S. the referenced joke in the beginning is based on something that was said during our Sex Criminals Arc Analysis episode)

#50 - X of Swords
Friday Apr 16, 2021
Friday Apr 16, 2021
We're finally here: the final chapter in Dawn of X (which only means the beginning of the Reign of X era, but whatever). We've covered this whole rebrand from House of X up to this point and here we can finally decide if it was all worth it. 10 fighters from Krakoa, 10 fighters from Arakko in a tournament for the future... it is X of Swords, babyyyy
So without giving away spoilers in the description, we leave you with one final question: Does it make a *dolphin sound* if no one is around to hear it?(Follow along with our previous Dawn of X coverage here: https://comicpatrol.podbean.com/p/our-dawn-of-x-series/ )

Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) [Bottle Cap Review]
Wednesday Apr 14, 2021
Wednesday Apr 14, 2021
The "DCEU" hasn't had the best track record, but it has a couple gems - a couple winners, if you will. Birds of Prey & the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn is the eighth film in the extended universe that DC never officially named, but it's one of the few we didn't naturally hate or strongly dislike. Margot Robbie loves herself some Harley Quinn, and we love ourselves some Harley Robbie... Bottle caps awayyy!

Sex Criminals Vol 1: One Weird Trick [Arc Analysis #15]
Thursday Apr 08, 2021
Thursday Apr 08, 2021
If the premise of people who have sex, freeze time and decide to do criminal-y things doesn't appeal to you, then this Arc Analysis episode isn't for you. But at the same time, if that premise alone doesn't appeal to you at all, then Comic Patrol isn't for you, and live a horribly boring life. I'm sorry that you are weak and won't survive the winter. All joking aside, this book is unique as hell and we were amped to bring it out for this Arc Analysis segment.

Batman TAS: Almost Got 'Im [Bottle Cap Review]
Wednesday Mar 31, 2021
Wednesday Mar 31, 2021
Let's be real here: Batman TAS is one of the greatest animated shows ever made. It's not hard to see why we can't leave it alone for too long, especially an episode that touts Penguin, Joker, Killer Croc, Two-Face and Poison Ivy in a poker game, exchanging stories about how they each nearly defeated The Batman. The 35th episode of season 1 is a standout in this series, and it's a lot of fun.

#48 - The Wanda Maximoff LP
Thursday Mar 11, 2021
Thursday Mar 11, 2021
Hey, at this point, people are pretty much sick of hearing the word "WandaVision", but it was a damn great show. A lot of feelings, predictions, speculations and theories have been born from it, and the internet was busy for the near two month stint of it's rollout. You know what the best part of rampant internet speculation and theories is? When they're wrong. Not because I like seeing people eat crow, but because of how damn upset some of these internet weirdos get when they have their hopes and fantasies crushed. So enjoy us talking about the show and taking shots at the internets as we go over (mostly) all of the theories that fans and "fans" were speculating about.

Wonder Woman 1984 [Bottle Cap Review]
Tuesday Mar 09, 2021
Tuesday Mar 09, 2021
We both really enjoyed the first Wonder Woman flick, and we consider it to still be one of DCEU's best, even to this day... So we were amped for the sequel: Wonder Woman 1984.However, it wasn't amped for us... or whatever. It has Wonder Woman in it. And magic stuff. And hey, it's not great, but we reviewed it anyways because we love you (?).

What. A. Drop!Late last week, we were all dumped on by Disney's MCU plans for the next TWO phases: four and five.. And mama mia, was it ever a lot. Some of it good, some of it unnecessary, and we both have our opinions on the rollout and the choices moving forward. Sidenote: We only cover the MCU drop in this, not the Star Wars or other reveals
