Timecop [Bottle Cap Review]

There are so many movies that a lot of us don't even know are based on comic books. JCVD's Timecop being one of them! What started as a Dark Horse anthology series, only a couple years later was a timely (teehee) 90's action flick.We have lots to say about it!

Unpredictable from the start, it is a Marvel series like we have never seen before, and that's pretty awesome.What if Peggy became Captain Carter instead of Steve becoming Captain America? What if T'Challa was Star Lord? What if ZOMBIES? What if you should stop reading this and just listen to the damn episode.

First Glance: DC vs Vampires #1

It's (still) Halloween time, so we are (still) being festive. And what better way to be in the spirit than with a vampire book from DC. There's not much else to say that the title doesn't already tell you: it's vampires and they're in the DC Universe.

Occult Crimes Taskforce [Arc Analysis #23]

It's a comic about cops protecting Manhattan from ghostly creatures that sneak into our world through some sort of a gate, some of which terrorize the population. It has magical badges, ghost cops, angelic partners, invisible trains and a zombie swat guy. It's also written by Rosario Dawson!The problem is, it has all of that stuff, yet it's only 4 issues long... We get into it so listen along and stay frosty.

Brightburn [Bottle Cap Review]

What if Superman was a dick?He was still raised by a couple of country folk in a small town and was played off to be a regular boy instead of an alien with superpowers.. All that same stuff, but was just a dickhead? That's the premise of Brightburn, and it could have been so much more than it was because that is literally all this movie covers.

Killadelphia Vol 1: Sins of the Father [Arc Analysis #19]

"We want to suck your blood."
If that's the first line that comes to mind when you think of vampires, then you're probably old as HECK.
This book, Killadelphia, takes a whole new look at what it means do be a vampire (also what it means to be a cop, whose dad was also a cop), and it is definitely an interesting one. A twisted story with incredible art, we go over it in this 19th episode of Arc Analysis.

Soviet Super Soldiers [Arc Analysis #18]

For this Arc Analysis episode, we take it back to nearly 30 years ago, when the USSR was still a thing, and multiple teams of mutants and powered up people did stuff for some sort of reason with hilarious results
There are dozens of characters in here, and the average comic book reader has only heard of about 3 of them, tops. And that's what makes this book as fun as it is.

Venom [Bottle Cap Review]

The Venom: Let There Be Carnage trailer dropped not too long ago, which reminded us... We still hadn't given the first movie it's own Bottle Cap treatment. So, here we are! The Bottle Cap Review of 2018's (somehow) massively profitable Venom movie, where we follow Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock as he struggles with an alien parasite that attaches itself to him to fight an evil corporation. The second half of this episode will be a discussion on Venom: Let There Be Carnage and things to come in the future of this franchise, and the Sony-verse as a whole.

Leprechaun [Arc Analysis #17]

Yes, it's THAT Leprechaun. The Lionsgate one with the terrible acting and all of it's 6 (!!!) sequels.
On this edition or Arc Analysis, where we dive into what makes a comic book story a boom (good) or a bah (bad), we get this absolute classic, but good god, is it not a lucky read.

Three months later and we're back First Glancing with issue #3 of The Last Ronin. We dive into it and all of the happenings contained in this mega-sized issue and you know what? It's still pretty damn good stuff!

The Kill Lock [Arc Analysis #16]

What do you get when you take 4 robots of vastly different classes, stick a mark on each of them and expect them to co-exist together or they all die as a group?
A very unique, twisted and hilarious book in the most pleasantly unexpected way. That's a lot of words in one sentence, but listen in and trust us on this one.
