No, seriously. Ask yourself: "If you die in the woods, does anybody care?"This playfully dark book by Steve Steiner kinda explores this. Deep in the woods of Big Hole Park, people are going missing and it's up to the pair of rangers (and a lost infomercial host) to figure out who or what is murdering these hikers.. be it man OR beast.
It's either that or keep hiding the bodies themselves...

We're back on the Jonathan Hickman's choo-choo, and we're flying through the days and lives of our favourite X-Mens. With Reign of X recharging our love of this comic-run we go full steam into an event like no other.Coke and Dank are now full shills for everything X-Men (except Children of the Atom) and as the saga continues, we're back to finish off the party, with fan favourite Emma Frost.

First Glance: Moon Man #1

Its a First Glance - of hip-hoppic-proportions that doesn't make sense, but leave it to Image Comics and superstar musician and now writer Scott "KID CUDI" Mescudi and Kyle Higgins with artist Marco Locati to weave their story of a returning astronaut to earth and the mysteries he brings with him. 
There are hits , there are misses but there is a lot to get into when it comes to the original Moon Man - Kid Cudi . Buckle in Sawftcheezes as we fall slowing into the Moon Man's world!

Saga Vol 2 [Arc Analysis #73]

It's Saga time! AGAINAnd it didnt take us long to return back to this Image published, Brian K. Vaughan written and Fiona Staples drawn: Romeo-and-Juliet-Star-Warish-Harry-and-the-Henderson's-Spy-vs-Spyish-grand-level-world-building-Arc-Analysis-episode! The world is just so big so we came back with a bang, to this ongoing space soap opera.
With some background now covered, and understanding of our main characters and the very interesting plot device of having baby Hazel, looking back to tell the story of her parents. We can see where the moralities lie and lean, family value, and personal codes. Plus a lot of weird space sex! Weird is an understatement, but fun doesn't begin to tell the story of this SAGA . It's really freakin' weird, but thats sometimes just what you need to get lost in.

Bitch Planet Vol 2: President Bitch [Arc Analysis #72]

We came back for round 2 of Bitch Planet! If you know the first volume, then you know the premise of a prison planet that was built to house disobedient females away from the male-controlled Earth, and you also know about the cliffhanger vol 1 left us on. "Rebirth" is the two parter that kicked off season 1, and we cover it in here - all about the shoes it had to fill coming off of Batman TAS and how, at the same time, it being its own possible classic

Locke & Key Vol 3: Crown of Shadows [Arc Analysis #71]

Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez created Locke and Key. 
Coke and Dank now breakdown Locke and Key yet AGAIN!.
Volume 3 for this story of magical keys and family drama and deep, dark secrets. And we'll keep going too, because this story is too much of a fun, and unique ride. We're back with the Locke's and all the tragedy they have been facing, from the continued fallout of their dead father and alcoholic mother and all the trappings of high schoolers trying to make it their own way. Not to mention the magic keys... There are a lot of new ones introduced in this volume, more than the ones we've seen who can make your ghosts appear or show you what's inside of somebody else's mind.

The Rocketeer [Bottle Cap Review]

This one is a throoowback. Watching this as a kid is a little different than watching it as an adult.As a kid, I saw a dude flying around in a super cool costume and bad guys a plenty trying to shoot him down and that was fun.As an adult, this one is very reminiscent of Iron Man (2008) but with the mob, old school planes, the mob, nazis and a dude flying around in a super cool costume.

Bitch Planet Vol 1: Extraordinary Machine [Arc Analysis #68]

The concept of this book is incredibly unique and it has a way of grabbing our interest on that alone. 'Bitch Planet' is the nickname given to a prison planet that was built to house disobedient females, away from Earth, which was controlled entirely by rich males in power.This story is about what goes down on that prison planet and some of the prisoners on it.

The man has had his hand in many projects you probably loved, but this time, with this series 'Primal', he's outdone himself.What do you get when a T-Rex and a caveman form a bond over shared trauma? Well.. we don't use the word masterpiece loosely, but this series could be in the conversation. OR we could be lying to you and we absolutely hated this show. I guess you'll have to hit play to find out for sure but keep in mind: we spoil the heck out of it.

First Glance: Crypt of Shadows #1 (2023)

WE DID A COMIC BOOK FOR FIRST GLANCE AGAIN!A little over the top but we were probably excited. Now that that's out of the way, let's take a look at Crypt of Shadows #1, Marvel's comic book version of Treehouse of Horrors.We get stories centered around Scarlet Witch, Hulk, Deadpool, and Daredevil, with a bunch of other characters and cameos. Of course the themes and faces we see get us to start talking about other properties and what could come in the future.

The Toxic Avenger (1984) [Bottle Cap Review]

We're gonna be honest with you here... This is a movie. A movie from 1984. A movie from 1984 where a guy is transformed by barrels of toxic waste into some hulking monster who can sense evildoers and proceeds to break, beat or melt them with his bare hands. He also wears a tutu.
If you like cheesy 80's action, flare and forced comedy, then boy oh boy do we have a movie for you!

#82 - The Maxx

The Maxx.What more can be said about this property. If you are not familiar with this comic (or cartoon) and you consider yourself a big comic guy (or gal), that title for you is debatable. Sam Kieth created something so unique, so interesting, so special here that you need to check this out. Not should; need. Is it a superhero comic? Is it a trip? Is it confusing and charming and disgustingly beautiful? Yes to all of those things.Read this book. Watch the show. They have different endings so it doesn't matter in which order you do that in, but once you're done both? Listen to this episode.
