Farmhand Vol 2: Thorne in the Flesh [Arc Analysis #107]

We really enjoyed the first volume of Farmhand, and we really meant to get to this volume sooner than we did, but time is fickle and all that... Anyways, 60-something books later, we are BACK with Farmhand Vol 2, and boy is it seedy. Get it? Well, honestly, it's not that seedy, but I was looking for a pun.. prickly? Let's go with prickly. AND BOY IS IT PRICKLY! In this volume, the sins of the father come around, but not just for his kids, for the whole town, as the people who have been modified with one of Jedidiah's seeds are mutating in strange ways.Also, there's a green caterpillar dog.

#112 - TMNT #10 & July 2025 Pull List

Issue #10 of the new Jason Aaron Turtle run is out and just like we said, we love T-U-R-T-L-E POWER... as we're ongoing, ongoing and ongoing this new tmnt run! 
Also, Dank doesn't miss an opportunity to address how the man was really a child, fell from his pedestal and never really was the one who should of been sitting in it. Viewer discretion is advised Dank really doesn't like Hulk Hogan.

Guy Ritchie's Gamekeeper [Arc Analysis #106]

Hey, guess what? Guy Ritchie did a comic book! ... KindaHe didn't exactly write it himself but it sure is advertised as that. It's about a guy who works for a rich guy who takes in homeless guys to help with chores until Russian guys come for the rich guy and they meet a group of other guys who pull heists. Still with us? Great! Then listen in to hear what we think when three different writers contribute to a comic book and whether it's a good idea or not to switch up said book's formula in the middle of the story.

The Vision (1994) [Arc Analysis #105]

The 90's were a time, and 1994 we were witnessing the Dark Ages of comics, although we didn't know. Welp -The Vision 1994 - helps us realize a lot about the 90's. 
This story of Vision spans four issues of what could be an interesting take on "the man" split between -  the red synthezoid , Simon Williams and Alex Lipton.
But can they handle the weight needed to portray the robotic depth and density of this Marvel superhero?

#111 (a.k.a. #104.2) - The Shame of Frank Miller

And in Comic Patrol fashion, we couldn't have a pride series for the Hall of Fame, without a shame episode. It's been a long time coming, but we're here with our second inductee into our very own Hall of Fame for comic book influencers - and this is the part 3 you've been waiting for!
We went through almost his entire catalogue of comic books in parts ONE and TWO, and labelled those as "The Pride". This time, we delve into the 6 movie adaptations and one stolen scene, of his work, and Frankie-boy threw himself into everything.

Fantastic Four: The Galactus Trilogy [Arc Analysis #104]

Marvel's first family isn't just called that because it sounds clever. No, the Fantastic Four literally are the first family of Marvel Comics, and to celebrate that - as well as the new, upcoming flick - we are taking it back to 1965's Galactus Trilogy. That's right, the first appearance of the big, planet eating guy and his silver surfing henchman guy.
Does this read well 60 years later? Well, let me tell ya something: No. But is it iconic and fun to talk about? You betcha. Come along with us, step in our time machine and eat some planets with us or something?

Superman: For All Seasons [Arc Analysis #103]

There's a new Superman movie coming out! And on top of that, we did some research: One of the biggest inspirations for the new flick (although not the MAIN one, but still), For All Seasons, has now joined our list of Arc Analysis runs (essentially our own book club).
Now, if you know us, we claim Superman is one of the hardest characters to write well because of his powerset, but when a writing team gets it, it can truly make you a fan. And this time of Loeb and Sale, do they get it? Well, you have to listen in with us if you want to know.

#107 - DSTLRY II

It not often we get a chance to read comics from the ground up, but we lucked out with DSTLRY and their new brand imprint.
Still the brainchild of David Steinberger and Chip Mosher, in May 2023. This is the house that has given artist and writers a fresh perspective, setting themselves up as the house that writers built:"focus on ethics, creator empowerment, and equity. Along with up-front participation by the founding creators, DSTLRY sets aside an additional 3% of company equity to be distributed among the creators who have projects released within the first three years. This equity will be distributed based of performance of titles"
So what sells gets paid more. Seems simple right? Well in DSTLRY(episode) we said yes.
We've since come back to the cutting edge studio to see the 2nd round of titles that have released to the marketplace. We also check some Issue 2's to see if those titles went Boom, Bah or Whoosh from where we last left off.

Deadly Class Vol 3: The Snake Pit [Arc Analysis #101]

The very first Arc Analysis episode we did was for Volume 1 of a wonderful book called Deadly Class. It took us 62 Arc Analysis comic reviews, before we'd circle back to the kids of the King's Dominion Atelier of the Deadly Arts, and it didn't disappoint.

This is the continued-continued misadventures of a high schooler assassins, and it's very 80's appeals. (no cellphones can save them, cause they don't exist!)
How are Marcus and Maria escaping the consequences of Chico? How does Saya and Willy deal with the fallout of the plan gone haywire? Can Marcus handle the news he doesn't know? and will he befriend Petra to help him make sense of the lunchroom politics of high-school ? Kingdome Come [Arc Analysis #100]

Well Numeatz & Sawftcheezes we made it! The Comic Patrol celebrates their 100th Arc Analysis, and what better way would we celebrate than reviewing the 4 issue iconic pairing of Mark Waid and Alex Ross in Kingdom Come.
Arguably one of DC's greatest "elsewhere" books. It discusses themes of morality, changing landscapes, old batman, and a terribly named villain - MAGOG! MYGAWD.
