Maaannnnnn, the level of excitement for this was *real*. THE Shirtless Bear-Fighter comes back for a second volume. The first book was one of our favourite surprises while doing this show: it was hilarious and endlessly entertaining. Saga, Vol 1 [Arc Analysis #50]

It's Saga time!For our 50th Arc Analysis episode, we wanted to do something big, and what's bigger than this space opera story?? It's Romeo and Juliet. It's Star Wars. It's Harry and the Henderson's. Okay, not so much that last one, but it does lean on a lot of family value themes and you know what else it is? Weird. It's really freakin' weird.But I guess that's what you get when you have two people falling in love from opposite sides of a galactic war, in a space where the royal family has TVs for heads.Enjoy volume 1!

Cocaine Bear [Bottle Cap Review]

As soon as this movie was revealed, we knew we had to see it. Drugs and animals?! What could go wrong?? The trailer looked fun, too! We walked into Cocaine Bear expecting maybe some sort of version of Sharknado or Zombeavers but that's not what we got. With a decidedly higher budget and better talent than those historical films, Cocaine Bear *should* be a slam dunk for those who like crazy, silly movies, as long as it doesn't switch up tones 3 or 4 times during its runtime...

The Last of Us: American Dreams [Arc Analysis #49]

Yes, we tried to capitalize on the recent success of the TV show which is based on the game, which is also the base for this comic. You might know it as episode 9 "Left Behind" or the downloadable content "Left Behind", but what it does is chronicle and adventure of a young Ellie and her friend Riley.

Batman: Two-Face Returns [Arc Analysis #48]

You're never gonna guess what this book is about! Okay, you ready? It's Batman, right? But in this book, Two-Face RETURNS.There is also Catgirl and The Riddler has a sidekick but what's really important here is that this was the penultimate arc for the original Batman comic before the New 52 reboot.
Does that alone make it worth a read since the story is ridiculous (especially if you're a Face fan)? Listen in and find out, no free previews.

First Glance: Gargoyles #1

Back with another First Glance, Firrrrrrst Glance, with Goliath taking centre page. We rejoin the rock-winged-clan since last seeing them with the end of the 3 seasoned animated series in 1997. Even in all that time its still a New York state of mind as they sore the night skies!

Our patriotism is showing as we go up north and follow the Canadian sensation, Tom Evans: Captain Canuck as he navigates the Canadian trails  as he gains new powers , rescues his all star team (kinda), and tries to survive his arch nemesis Mr Gold.  This 2018 read covers the first arch of the Cap's adventure Issues #1-6.
