Criminal Vol 2: Lawless [Arc Analysis #124]

Continuing on from our last Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips story we posted a couple of weeks ago, we're back for more of this legendary duo.
Criminal: Lawless is the 2nd volume of the classic tale of gritty crime stories. In this one, the question is asked, how far would you go to avenge a family member you barely knew? How much of a motivator is the feeling of guilt? In this volume, we get a glimpse at how a man with nothing to lose inserts himself into a unit of organized crime to get revenge for his dead, estranged brother and the dangers of getting in too deep.

Saga Vol 4 [Arc Analysis #123]

We don't want to bury the lead on this one but you know we love us some Brian K Vaughan and Fiona Staples' SAGA. And you can see for yourself that, with this being the 4th volume we've covered, it's a series that's in our wheelhouse.
With our main characters moreso in hiding than actually on the run, can they find a way to raise Hazel while also staying safe? Prince Robot hasn't given up on searching for them, and a large chunk of the galazy now knows about them too. 
An empire only really ever falls apart from the inside, afterall.
As a bonus drinking game, anytime you hear Coke N Dank say "bury the lead" in this episode, take a shot

Kill or Be Killed Vol 2 [Arc Analysis #122]

It's been a while since we covered an Ed Brubaker / Sean Phillips book, but we made it. This team was due for another round of coverage (even if we already did a 6-pack for them, that was ages ago), and we deliver here.
Last volume, our main character, Dylan, was introduced to the literal demon on his shoulder who was forcing him to kill people. It was an adjustment to say the least... But now with volume 2 of Kill or Be Killed, Dylan has learned - and seems oddly comfortable - to live with his passenger. If you want to see (hear) what sort of dangers that style of confidence can get a man (serial killer), hit play.

November 16, 1947. That is when All True Crime Cases #26 was released to the public. Who wrote it? We don't know. Who drew it? We also don't know, but we can tell you what it's about: Totally true crimes that all children should definitely read about...This comic flows through about 5 different stories, ranging from mobsters with guns to murderous circus acts and cowboys. All of which, of course, was marketed towards kids, because of course murder and crime is what junior should read about.All MIGHT be forgiven if it's actually any good, but... you'll have to listen in to find out for sure.

Shredder has a stranglehold on criminal activity and the brothers are trying to use the element of surprise to wrestle it back.

Deadly Class Vol 5: Carousel [Arc Analysis #118]

With this 5th volume, Rick Remender and Wes Craig's Deadly Class is now our longest running Arc Analysis saga, beating out Fraction and Aja's 4 volumes of Hawkeye. Considering that Deadly Class vol 1 was our first ever Arc Analysis episode, it seems fitting that we're here with it now.This volume is an introduction to the "new class" of characters, spinning out of the bloody, fiery end of the last volume. That means a lot of new faces, some very familiar ones, and definitely some surprises that readers may or may not love, but to know for sure, you'll have to listen here.

The Vision Vol 2: Little Less than a Beast [Arc Analysis #117]

Remember that book we did last week? The one by Tom King and Gabriel Hernandez Walta? Ya, well we realized it is only two volumes long, so we finished it off in it's entirety, back to back. The Vision wants a life of his own, away from the hustle and bustle. He just wants a nuclear family (that he made himself), go to his 9 to 5 (the Avengers), and have completely normal (creepy) neighbours!But it isn't always that easy... Especially when you're an android burying your head in the sand of a world that misunderstands you.

Two parents do the unthinkable and jump into their comatose child's head to fight for her survival - or even just for her to wake up again. It's a strange and unique up and down ride.

Batman The Long Halloween: The Last Halloween [Arc Analysis #114]

Well we did it... another Halloween SPOOOOKTACULAAAR!!
The FD'Weapons managed to release a holiday episode on time, and we thought of no better way to celebrate Hallooween with... writer Jeph Loeb and artist Tim Sale (RIP) the re-re-release of Batman's the long Halloween imprint. 
But this all started from their Batman: The Long Halloween 13 issue run. (we covered that) Bat Meat and their follow up (we covered that) Dark Victory
Now were back for the final stop in this world: The Last Halloween! While we may not agree with the story, the art of this book is captivating so make sure to follow up with any of the names listed below who came together to make something special.
